Theatre Tickets

The Ambassadors Theatre in London’s West End is the home to this intimate drama from writer David Eldridge, which will provide a thought-provoking and memorable experience.

Beginning, starring Justine Mitchell and Sam Troughton, opened at the venue in January 2018 and has brought a whole new audience to a venue that had previously been the home of Stomp for over a decade.

The show has already wowed theatregoers on the prestigious stage of the Dorfman National Theatre, with its acclaimed cast appearing there as well, and it’s easy to see why audiences continue to flock to it.

Mitchell and Troughton play Laura and Danny, the former the hostess of a recently-finished party and the latter the last man standing. These characters start afresh the morning after the party, following events moving forwards and offering us more drinking and an unconventional romance.

It is the latest play from a writer whose work has previously been staged on many of the capital’s most prestigious stages, with audiences flocking to David Eldridge’s plays at the Royal Court, Shakespeare’s Globe and beyond.

And with that in mind it is no wonder it has attracted such a stellar cast, with Sam Troughton known for a rage of film, television and stage roles, from Romeo & Juliet at the Courtyard Theatre (for the RSC) to TV’s Robin Hood. Likewise, Justine Mitchell has appeared in shows at the National Theatre.

So audiences will find familiar faces when they head to the Ambassadors Theatre, where Beginning continues under the direction of Polly Findlay.
